Reset or change your password
Forgot your password
Section titled “Forgot your password”- On the sign-in page, select Forgot password?
- Enter your email and select Send reset link. You’ll see “Check your email” — if an account exists for that address, a reset link arrives shortly. The link expires after 60 minutes and can only be used once.
- Open the link and set your new password on the “Set a new password” screen — at least 8 characters, typed twice. We never see your password in plain text.
- Select Update password. You’re signed in automatically.
Expected result: you’re back in your account with the new password active.
Change your password while signed in
Section titled “Change your password while signed in”- Go to Settings → Password (under Security).
- Enter your current password (always required).
- Enter and confirm the new one (at least 8 characters, and different from the current password).
- Select Update password.
Expected result: you’re signed out on every device (remembered devices cleared) and land on the sign-in page — sign in once with the new password.
Common problems
Section titled “Common problems”- “This link has expired.” Reset links are single-use and short-lived. Select Request a new reset link and use the fresh one.
- No reset email after a minute? Check spam, and make sure you used the address you sign in with — the screen says “check your email” either way.
- “Current password is incorrect.” when changing while signed in — if you can’t remember it, sign out and use Forgot password? instead.
- Don’t want to deal with passwords right now? On the sign-in page, Email me a sign-in link instead sends a one-hour sign-in link to your address.
