See your first lead
The best way to know Lead Source is working is to send yourself a lead.

Make sure you’ve added Lead Source to your website and published the change.

Go to your live website and fill in one of your forms as if you were a customer. Use a real-looking name and email so it’s easy to spot.

Open your Lead Source account and go to Leads. Your test should appear at the top within a couple of seconds.

Click it. You’ll see the details captured from the form, and a plain label saying where the lead came from — in this case, most likely “typed your address straight in”, because you went to the site yourself.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”From now on, every real form submission is captured the same way — no action needed from you. You can:
- Browse and filter your leads
- Export them for your CRM or a spreadsheet
- Turn on the responder (rolling out in stages) so new leads get a fast reply from your inbox
Didn’t see your test?
Section titled “Didn’t see your test?”That usually means the snippet isn’t on the page you tested, or your form sends data in a way that needs one extra step. Work through Troubleshooting and you’ll find it.
