Import leads
Settings → Import brings leads you already have into Lead Source, so your history lives alongside your new captures. You need at least one active site first — imports are associated with a site.
From a CSV file
Section titled “From a CSV file”- Choose the CSV file tab and pick the site to associate.
- Your file needs a header row; columns can be any combination of Name, Email, Phone, Source, Campaign, Received At (names are case-insensitive).
- Upload and select Import leads.
Expected result: “N leads imported successfully” — plus “N rows skipped (no contact info)” for rows with nothing to identify the person by.
Two limits to plan around: 1,000 rows per import (split bigger files), and re-importing the same file creates duplicates — there’s no de-duplication, so import each file once.
From HubSpot or Pipedrive
Section titled “From HubSpot or Pipedrive”Each tab takes an API token from that product — HubSpot’s Private App
token (starting pat-) or Pipedrive’s — and imports up to 500
contacts or persons. The token is used once for the import and never
stored. Select Connect & import and the result reads the same as
CSV.
To capture new Pipedrive leads continuously (rather than a one-off import), set up the Pipedrive integration instead.
Common problems
Section titled “Common problems”- “No active sites found.” Add a website first: Managing your websites.
- Lots of skipped rows. Rows need at least some contact information — check your Email column header is spelled plainly and the cells aren’t blank.
- Imported twice by accident? The duplicates are ordinary lead records — find and remove them with the lead record search.
